Yesterday I recorded an "Innovation in Agriculture" episode for The Impact Farming Show, and it fired me up!!! 

Here's what happened...

The episode was recorded with a company that sells precision agriculture products to Canadian farmers. I interviewed the owner about his three product lines (soil samplers, software & application drones), and we chatted about the many benefits of precision agriculture for farming operations.

I loved it. The episode was educational for the farmer and allowed this business owner to share his story and talk about the benefits of his products. When it comes to marketing, this type of content is a win-win. It's great information for the farmer and fantastic exposure for the business owner.

That is why it FIRED ME UP!!!

Why? Because every time I record a video with a client, I am reminded of the tremendous POWER of video marketing to drive awareness, position yourself as the...

As media buyers and marketers...this is the time of year that we sit down to create our advertising plans for the new year. No matter what size of company we have, unless we have Coca-Cola-sized budgets, it's critical that we use our marketing budget effectively.

At the end of the day, advertising success comes down to three things.

The 3 key building blocks of a successful campaign are:

• The Right Audience: Who are the people that need your products and services? (Canadian farmers of course)
• The Right Advertisement: A compelling, preferably irresistible, marketing message. (Your advertisement)
• The Right Advertising Tactics: Tradeshows, newspapers, magazines, billboards, social media, ONLINE ADVERTISING etc., etc. (Where Farm Marketer comes in)

These key building blocks are pretty straightforward, but if you miss one, your results can be off. Wasted time and money right?
